On 11th February, we received
oral evidence from the Baroness Blackstone, Minister for Education
and Employment; Stephen Byers MP, Minister for School Standards;
and officials from the Department for Education and Employment.
The witnesses answered questions on:
Mathematics, science and information
technology in schools;
Increasing access to higher education;
Recruitment to science and engineering.
