As Amendments to the Lords Amendment
Line 6, at end add 'or enables an action in tort on the ground only that it contravenes a statutory duty imposed by an order made under this Act, which would affect the possibility of mediation, conciliation or arbitration.'.

Line 6, at end add 'or enables the local authority fire service employers to impede the possibility of a reference to mediation, conciliation or arbitration by pursuing an action in tort on the ground only of contravention of a statutory duty imposed by an order made under this Act.'.
Line 6, at end add 'or reduces the protection provided to the Fire Brigades Union by reason of Part V of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (c.52)'.
Line 6, at end add 'or places any additional duty upon the Fire Brigades Union which is actionable in tort'.

That the following provisions shall apply to the Fire Services Bill for the purpose of supplementing the Orders of 8th May 2003 and 3rd June 2003
Consideration of Lords Amendments
1. Proceedings on Consideration of Lords Amendments shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion one hour after their commencement.
2. Any further Message from the Lords may be considered forthwith without any Question put.
3. Proceedings on any further Message from the Lords shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion one hour after their commencement.
