EUROPEAN CONVENTION ON HUMAN RIGHTS

Ruth Kelly has made the following statement under section 19(1)(a) of the Human

Rights Act 1998:

In my view the provisions of the Consolidated Fund (No. 2) Bill are compatible with

the Convention rights.

Authorise the use of resources for the service of the years ending on 31st

March 2002 and 2003 and to apply certain sums out of the Consolidated Fund

to the service of the years ending on 31st March 2002 and 2003. 

Whereas the Commons of the United Kingdom in Parliament assembled have

resolved to authorise the use of resources and the issue of sums out of the

Consolidated Fund towards making good the supply which they have

granted to Her Majesty in this Session of Parliament:—

Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the

advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this

present Parliamegraphic

 1     Use of resources for the year ending on 31st March 2002

The use of resources for the service of the year ending on 31st March 2002 is

authorised to the amount of £1,504,912,617.37

 2     Issue out of the Consolidated Fund for the year ending on 31st March 2002

The Treasury may issue out of the Consolidated Fund of the United Kingdom

and apply to the service of the year ending on 31st March 2002 the sum of

£199,955,750.09

 3     Use of resources for the year ending on 31st March 2003

The use of resources for the service of the year ending on 31st March 2003 is

authorised to the amount of £21,387,488,000.

 4     Issue out of the Consolidated Fund for the year ending on 31st March 2003

The Treasury may issue out of the Consolidated Fund of the United Kingdom

and apply to the service of the year ending on 31st March 2003 the sum of

£7,497,514,000.

This Act may be cited as the Consolidated Fund Act 2003.
