Notes:

  • The first deregulation proposal was deposited on 5 April 1995.
  • The Committee was first established in the 1992-93 session, during which it produced 5 reports, on 17 bills.
  • During the 1993-94 session the Committee produced 12 reports, on 37 bills. It reported twice on the Deregulation and Contracting Out Bill.
  • During the 1994-95 session the Committee produced 18 reports, on 56 bills, 8 stage 1 deregulation proposals and 2 stage 2 deregulation orders.
  • During the 1998-99 session the Committee also produced a submission for the Joint Committee on the draft Financial Services and Markets Bill. This has been included in the total in the table.
