Public Business

6.Business of the House—It was moved by the Baroness Jay of Paddington that Standing Order 40 (Arrangement of the Order Paper) be suspended on Wednesday 29th November so far as is necessary to give the Government power to arrange the order of business; the motion was agreed to.
7.Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Bill—The bill was read a third time; amendments were agreed to; amendments were disagreed to (see division lists 1, 3 and 4); an amendment was agreed to (see division list 2); amendments were moved and (by leave of the House) withdrawn; then, after debate, the bill was passed and returned to the Commons with amendments.
8.Race Relations (Amendment) Bill [HL]—The Commons amendments were considered; certain Commons amendments were agreed to; an amendment to a Commons amendment was (by leave of the House) withdrawn; the remaining Commons amendments were agreed to.
9.Transport Bill—The Commons reasons were considered; a Lords amendment was insisted on (see division list 5); further amendments were insisted on; a Committee was appointed to propose a reason for such insistence.

(“(6) The Secretary of State may by order make provision for exempting from inclusion in the register maintained by the Commission under this section any specified details in respect of donations to parties registered in the Northern Ireland register.

(7) An order under subsection (6) shall be so made as to—

(a) apply to the specified details in respect of donations to every Northern Ireland party, and

(b) make the same provision with respect to every such party.

(8) In this section—

“Northern Ireland party” means a party registered in the Northern Ireland register; “specified” means specified in an order under subsection (6).”);
