16.Terrorism Bill—A bill to make provision about terrorism; and to make temporary provision for Northern Ireland about the prosecution and punishment of certain offences, the preservation of peace and the maintenance of order was brought from the Commons, read a first time and ordered to be printed. 17.Terrorism Bill—It was ordered that the Explanatory Notes relating to the bill be printed. (HL Bill 49–EN)
18.Consolidated Fund (No. 2) Bill—It was moved by the Lord McIntosh of Haringey that the bill be now read a second time; the motion was agreed to and the Committee was negatived; then, Standing Order 46 having been dispensed with, the bill was read a third time and passed.
19. Financial Services and Markets Bill—The House again resolved itself into a Committee upon the bill; amendments were moved and (by leave of the Committee) withdrawn; amendments were agreed to; amendments were disagreed to (see division lists 1 and 2); the House was resumed.
20.Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989 (Continuance) Order 2000—It was moved by the Lord Bassam of Brighton that the draft Order laid before the House on 3rd March be approved; after debate, the motion was agreed to.
