Extend the Race Relations Act 1976 to religious discrimination.

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-
 

Religious discrimination.     1. In section 1(1)(b)(ii) and section 3(1) of the Race Relations Act 1976, after "origins" (in each place it occurs) insert "or religion".
 
Short title and extent.     2. - (1) This Act may be cited as the Race Relations (Religious Discrimination) Act 2000.
 
      (2) This Act does not extend to Northern Ireland.
