Standing Committee on Medicinal Products ("Standing Committee") Regulation 2309/93IIIa/b Provides a means of achieving consensus and an extra level of control over the CPMP; meetings are called when Member States have concerns over a CPMP decision. There are strict rules regarding when meetings may be called, and they are infrequent.
Pharmaceutical CommitteeDecision 75/320/EEC Pre-dates 1987 Decision Does not fit 1987 types. Provides an overview for Member States for all EU-related pharmaceutical issues and meets quarterly.
Committee on Medical DevicesDirective 90/385/EEC IIIaThis Committee has only met once - on 30 October 1997 to adopt its rules of procedure.
Committee of Senior Officials on Public Health (CSOPH) Decision 75/365/EECPre-dates 1987 Decision Does not fit 1987 types. Assists Commission with changes to Articles 26 and 27 of Directive (facilitating the free movement of doctors and the mutual recognition of their diplomas, certificates and other evidence of formal qualifications).

Decision 645/96/EC; —on health promotion, information, education and training within the framework for action in the field of public health
Decision 646/96/EC; —to combat cancer within the framework for action in the field of public health
Decision 647/96/EC; —on the prevention of AIDS and certain other communicable diseases within the framework for action in the field of public health
Decision 102/97/EC; —on the prevention of drug dependence with the framework for action in the field of public health
