11 Feb 1998 : Column WA210

Lord Williams of Mostyn: Information on GCSE results is usually given for those pupils aged 15 at the start of the academic year (i.e. those who become 16 during the school year). The information on the combinations of subjects requested could only be obtained at disproportionate cost by commissioning a special analysis of the pupil level data held on the Welsh Examinations Database maintained by the Welsh Joint Education Committee. Readily available information is shown in the following tables.
