Memorandum from the Department of Health
REGULATIONS 2002 (S.I. 2002/2861)
Request: given that the principal Regulations
(S.I. 1992/662) have now been amended on many occasions (including
those mentioned in footnote (a) at page 2), indicate what plans
the Department has for consolidating those Regulations.
1. The Department agrees that the National Health
Service (Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 1992, S.I. 1992/662,
are in need of consolidation.
2. However, there are no plans at present to consolidate
the Regulations as further substantial amendments to the Regulations
are planned for the first half of 2003.
3. The Department will consider further the question
of consolidating the Regulations once resources for the task are
available and after the further amendments planned for the first
half of 2003 are made.
