CHURCH OF ENGLAND (PENSIONS) MEASURE

The Committee deliberate.

  It is ordered that the General Synod be invited to assist the Committee in its deliberations on the Measure.

  The following representatives of the General Synod are called in to assist the Committee in its deliberations:

    The Reverend Dr Richard Turnbull, Chairman of the Steering Committee

    Mrs April Alexander, member of the Steering Committee

    Mr Howell Harris Hughes, Secretary to the Church Commissioners

    Mr Stephen Slack, Chief Legal Adviser to the General Synod.

  The Committee deliberate.

  The Committee adjourn.

  Following correspondence, the Ecclesiastical Committee agree that the revised and re-submitted draft of the Church of England (Pensions) Measures as approved by the General Synod in July 2002 is expedient.
