House of Commons, Mr Colin Harnett, Head of Bill Team, Emergency
Anti-Terrorism, Mr Peter Wrench, Deputy Director General of the
Immigration and Nationality Directorate, Mr Bob Whalley, Head
of the Terrorism and Protection Unit and Mr Harry Carter, Assistant
Legal Adviser, Home Office, were examined.
The Committee further deliberated.
Draft Report [Anti-Terrorism, Crime and Security
Bill], proposed by the Chairman, brought up and read.
Ordered, That the draft
Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.
Paragraphs 1 to 79 read and agreed to.
Resolved, That the Report
be the Second Report of the Committee to each House.
Ordered, That the Chairman
do make the Report to the House of Commons and that Baroness Perry
do make the Report to the House of Lords.
