Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments Third Report

APPENDIX I

Memorandum by the Privy Council Office

GENERAL OSTEOPATHIC COUNCIL (CONDITIONAL REGISTRATION) (AMENDMENT) RULES ORDER OF COUNCIL (S.I.1988/2695)

1.  By a letter from its Clerk dated 2 December 1988 the Committee has requested the Privy Council Office to submit a Memorandum on the following point —

Since the Rules approved by this Order correct an error in the earlier Rules, explain whether arrangements have been made (as required by paragraph 3.24 of Statutory Instrument Practice) for copies of this Order to be made available free of charge to all known recipients of the earlier one. If so, explain why this Order does not bear a headnote to that effect. (see paragraph 3.25 of Statutory Instrument Practice).

2.  Arrangements have now been made with The Stationery Office for copies of the Order to be made available free of charge to all known recipients of the earlier one. This was not done earlier (and nor does the Order bear a headnote to that effect) through an oversight which is regretted. The Privy Council Office is grateful that this matter has been drawn to its attention.
