LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE FULFILLED BY AUTHORISED DISMANTLERS

  The following are the responsibilities/obligations of authorised dismantlers:

    to provide the government with legal and financial information about the reception of the vehicles intended for destruction..

    to de-pollute and dismantle the ELVs not resold to a third party in accordance with the law.

    the technical and legal conditions of reception, de-pollution and dismantling of the ELVs.

    to deliver the processed ELVs only to authorised shredding installations.

    to deliver the products deriving from the processing of ELVs only to sites complying with the provisions of existing environmental regulations.

    to inform the government, on the one hand, of the quantities of ELVs collected, resold to third parties or delivered to authorised shredding sites and, on the other hand, of the quantities of used materials from collected vehicles (tyres, batteries, windscreens, metal parts, oil and other fluids etc).

LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE FULFILLED BY AUTHORISED SHREDDERS

  The following are the responsibilities/obligations of authorised shredders:

    to accept all vehicles intended for destruction.

    to de-pollute and dismantle the ELVs that have not been processed by an authorised dismantler in accordance with the law.

    to groups, shear, shred or split up the ELVs.

    to deliver the products deriving from the shearing, shredding or splitting-up of the ELVs only to installations complying with environmental regulations.

    to provide the government with information about the technical, legal and financial conditions under which the shredders carry out their obligations.

    to inform the government, on the one hand, of the quantities of ELVs collected and, on the other hand, the quantities of materials or waste deriving from the processing of these vehicles (tyres, batteries, windscreens, metal parts, oil and other fluids, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, crushing residue etc).
