Supplementary memorandum by DTLR (TYP 28B)

  1.  The Select Committee asked the Department to provide information on three scenarios, representing variants on the 10 Year Plan:

    —  the Plan, but omitting the eight road user charging and 12 workplace parking levy schemes that the Plan assumed local authorities would introduce outside London;

    —  the Plan, but omitting the increase in trunk road and motorway capacity not included in the baseline;

    —  the Plan, but omitting the enhanced public transport service levels (rail, light rail and bus)

  and to present this information in the same format as figure 13 in the Background Analysis.

  2.  Results for the two of these are shown in the following table:
