Select Committee on Environment, Transport and Regional Affairs Memoranda

Memorandum by Dave King (DWB 02)

It is my wish that it be drawn to the attention of The Sub-committee, that we here at Capel Court Park, this being a Park Home & Holiday Park, myself being their representative, after consideration knowing the problems that we will experience in TRYING to find out the information in respect of their bills (Water Resale).

As this is a mixed PARK ie Holiday 10 Months Residential Permanent Living, we having no other HOMES, it would create some created problems by the Park Owner.

A possibility exists with a large number of Park Home Sites, that this situation can and will arise.

We still favour the old system of The Rateable Value.

It is now we understand from The Park Manager, The Owner's intention that we shall be put on to Water Meters, yes this is fine by us but what are the implications as regards to The Cost of The Water Meter? PLUS what happens should he try to introduce a daily Standing Charge on top of our water charges. With respect this is drawn to the attention of The Sub-committee in reaching a decision.
