  PART III
  FINAL PROVISIONS
Financial provisions.     30. - (1) There shall be paid out of money provided by Parliament-
 
 
    (a) any sums required by the Secretary of State for the purpose of making grants under section 12 (grants towards the development of proposals for regulations and certification schemes);
 
    (b) any increase attributable to this Act in the sums payable out of such money under any other Act.
      (2) Any sums received by the Secretary of State under paragraph 5 of Schedule 1 shall be paid into the Consolidated Fund.
 
Power to make transitional provision.     31. - (1) The Secretary of State may by order made by statutory instrument make such transitional provisions and savings as he considers appropriate in connection with the coming into force of any provision of this Act.
 
      (2) The power conferred by subsection (1) is exercisable as respects Wales by the National Assembly for Wales (and not the Secretary of State) in relation to Part II (and Schedules 2 and 3).
 
Commencement.     32. - (1) Subject as follows, Parts I and II (and the Schedules) come into force on such day as the Secretary of State may by order made by statutory instrument appoint; and different days may be appointed for different purposes.
 
      (2) The power conferred by subsection (1) is exercisable as respects Wales by the National Assembly for Wales (and not the Secretary of State) in relation to Part II (and Schedules 2 and 3).
 
      (3) Section 12 comes into force on the day on which this Act is passed.
 
Extent and application to Isles of Scilly.     33. - (1) This Act (apart from paragraph 13 of Schedule 1) extends to England and Wales only.
 
      (2) This Act applies to the Isles of Scilly subject to such exceptions, adaptations and modifications as the Secretary of State may by order direct.
 
      (3) The power to make such an order is exercisable by statutory instrument subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.
 
Short title.     34. This Act may be cited as the Homes Act 2001.
