2Police,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put, That the Police Grant Report (England and Wales) 1999-2000 (House of Commons Paper No. 179), which was laid before this House on 1st February, be approved—(Mr Paul Boateng);

3Local Government Finance,—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That the Local Government Finance Report (England) 1999-2000 (House of Commons Paper No. 143), which was laid before this House on 1st February, be approved—(Mr Secretary Prescott);
 
        And it being Seven o'clock, the Deputy Speaker put the Question, pursuant to Order [1st February];

        The House divided.
