1Liaison,—Mr Robert Sheldon reported, pursuant to Standing Order No. 145 (Liaison Committee), That the Liaison Committee had directed him to report that it had chosen the Third Report from the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee, Session 1997-98, on the Composition, Recruitment and Training of the RUC, and the Sixth Report from the Agriculture Committee, Session 1997-98, on Flood and Coastal Defence, to be debated on Wednesday 24th February, pursuant to Standing Order No. 10 (Wednesday sittings).
2Northern Ireland Grand Committee,—Mr Peter Atkinson reported from the Northern Ireland Grand Committee, That it had considered the matter of the Discussion Paper entitled "Putting it Right—The case for change in Northern Ireland's hospital service", referred to it on 14th January, and had directed him to report accordingly to the House.

3Social Security,—Resolved, That the draft Social Security (Contributions) (Re-rating and National Insurance Fund Payments) Order 1999, which was laid before this House on 13th January, be approved.—(Mr Secretary Darling.)
4Social Security,—Resolved, That the draft Social Security Benefits Up-rating Order 1999, which was laid before this House on 13th January, be approved.—(Mr Secretary Darling.)
5Pensions,—Resolved, That the draft Guaranteed Minimum Pensions Increase Order 1999, which was laid before this House on 13th January, be approved.—(Mr Secretary Darling.)
6Social Security,—Resolved, That the draft Social Security Benefits Up-rating (No. 2) Order 1999, which was laid before this House on 26th January, be approved.—(Mr Secretary Darling.)
7Companies,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the Open-Ended Investment Companies (Investment Companies with Variable Capital) (Fees) Regulations 1998 (S.I., 1998, No. 3087), dated 9th December 1998, a copy of which was laid before this House on 10th December, be approved—(Mr Kevin Hughes):—It was agreed to.
8Companies,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the Companies (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 (S.I., 1998, No. 3088), dated 9th December 1998, a copy of which was laid before this House on 10th December, be approved—(Mr Kevin Hughes):—It was agreed to.
9Police,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (Codes of Practice No. 5) Order 1998, dated 8th December 1998, a copy of which was laid before this House on 15th December, be approved—(Mr Kevin Hughes):—It was agreed to.
10Legal Aid and Advice,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the draft Legal Aid (Prescribed Panels) Regulations 1998, which were laid before this House on 16th December, be approved—(Mr Kevin Hughes):—It was agreed to.
11Adjournment,—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Mr Kevin Hughes);
 
        And it being Seven o'clock, the Motion for the adjournment of the House lapsed, without Question put, pursuant to the Sessional Order [16th December].
