The House met at half-past Two o'clock.

PRAYERS.

1    Message from the Lords,—A Message was brought from the Lords, as follows:

    The Lords have agreed to the Consolidated Fund Bill, without Amendment.

    The Lords have agreed to the Investment Exchanges and Clearing Houses Bill, without Amendment.

2    Cluster Munitions (Prohibition of Development and Acquisition) Bill,—Nick Harvey, supported by John Barrett, Willie Rennie, Susan Kramer, Mr Michael Moore, Bob Russell, Lorely Burt, Mr Adrian Sanders, Tim Farron and Malcolm Bruce, presented a Bill to prohibit the development, acquisition, possession, transfer and use of cluster munitions and their components; and for connected purposes: And the same was read the first time; and ordered to be read a second time on Friday 26th January and to be printed [Bill 42].

3    Adjournment (Matters to be considered before the forthcoming Adjournment),—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Mr Frank Roy);

4    Royal Assent,—The Speaker notified the House, in accordance with the Royal Assent Act 1967, That Her Majesty had signified her Royal Assent to the following Acts, agreed upon by both Houses:

      Consolidated Fund Act 2006

      Investment Exchanges and Clearing Houses Act 2006.

5    Adjournment (Matters to be considered before the forthcoming Adjournment),—The Question being again proposed, That this House do now adjourn;

    And it being Seven o'clock, the Motion for the adjournment of the House lapsed, without Question put.

6    Public Petitions,—Public Petitions from

    (1) residents of Hitchin and Harpenden against planned changes to NHS facilities in Hertfordshire; and

    (2) parents of children attending Medstead Church of England Primary School and others against plans to closure of the Provision for Deaf and Hearing Impaired Children at the school

    were presented; and ordered to lie upon the Table and to be printed.

7    Adjournment,—Resolved, That this House do now adjourn.—(Claire Ward.)

    And accordingly, the House, having continued to sit till twenty-seven minutes past Seven o'clock, adjourned till Monday 8th January, pursuant to Resolution [27th November].
