PRAYERS.

1    NHS Redress Bill [Lords],—The NHS Redress Bill [Lords] was, according to Order, read a second time.

2    NHS Redress Bill [Lords] (Programme),—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 83A (Programme motions), That the following provisions shall apply to the NHS Redress Bill [Lords]:

Committal

    1. The Bill shall be committed to a Standing Committee.

Proceedings in Standing Committee

    2. Proceedings in the Standing Committee shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion on Thursday 22nd June 2006.

    3. The Standing Committee shall have leave to sit twice on the first day on which it meets.

Consideration and Third Reading

    4. Proceedings on consideration shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion one hour before the moment of interruption on the day on which those proceedings are commenced.

    5. Proceedings on Third Reading shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion at the moment of interruption on that day.

    6. Standing Order No. 83B (Programming committees) shall not apply to proceedings on consideration and Third Reading.

Other proceedings

    7. Any other proceedings on the Bill (including any proceedings on consideration of any Message from the Lords) may be programmed—(Tony Cunningham):—It was agreed to.

3    NHS Redress Bill [Lords] [Money],—Her Majesty's Recommendation having been signified to the proposed Motion relating to NHS Redress Bill [Lords] [Money];

    A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52 (Money resolutions and ways and means resolutions in connection with bills), That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the NHS Redress Bill [Lords], it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—

    (1) any expenditure incurred by the Secretary of State by virtue of the Act, and

    (2) any increase attributable to the Act in the sums payable out of money so provided under any other Act—(Tony Cunningham):—It was agreed to.

4    International Development,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the draft African Development Bank (Tenth Replenishment of the African Development Fund) Order 2006, which was laid before this House on 13th March, be approved—(Tony Cunningham):—It was agreed to.

5    International Development,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the draft Caribbean Development Bank (Sixth Replenishment of the United Special Development Fund) Order 2006, which was laid before this House on 13th March, be approved—(Tony Cunningham):—It was agreed to.

6    International Development,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the draft Asian Development Bank (Eighth Replenishment of the Asian Development Fund) Order 2006, which was laid before this House on 13th March, be approved—(Tony Cunningham):—It was agreed to.

7    Democracy, Dialogue and Debate,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 119 (European Standing Committees), That this House takes note of European Union Document No. 14775/05 Commission Communication: The Commission's contribution to the period of reflection and beyond: Plan D for Democracy, Dialogue and Debate; and endorses the Government's support for the principles behind Plan D and the view that implementation to raise awareness of the EU in the UK should be in co-operation with partners at European, national, regional and local levels—(Tony Cunningham):—It was agreed to.

8    Defence,—Ordered, That Mr Colin Breed be discharged from the Defence Committee and Willie Rennie be added.—(Rosemary McKenna, on behalf of the Committee of Selection.)

9    Public Accounts,—Ordered, That Jon Trickett be discharged from the Public Accounts Committee and Mr Don Touhig be added.—(Rosemary McKenna, on behalf of the Committee of Selection.)
