PRAYERS.

1    European Standing Committee,—Frank Cook reported from a European Standing Committee the following Resolution:

    That the Committee takes note of the unnumbered Explanatory Memorandum dated 15th July 2005, submitted by the Food Standards Agency, relating to the Draft Council Decision authorising the placing on the market of foods and food ingredients derived from genetically modified Roundup Ready maize line GA21; and supports the Government's view that products derived from this maize meet the necessary requirements for authorisation under Regulation (EC) No. 258/97.

    Resolution to lie upon the Table.

    Minutes of Proceedings of the Committee to lie upon the Table.

2    Transport (Wales) Bill,—The House, according to Order, proceeded to consider the Transport (Wales) Bill, not amended in the Standing Committee.

    A Clause (NC1) (Cross-border provision)—(Bill Wiggin)—brought up and read the first time.

    Question proposed, That the Clause be read a second time:—Clause, by leave, withdrawn.

    The Bill was read the third time, and passed.

3    Supreme Court (Northern Ireland),—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Standing Committees on Delegated Legislation), That the Rules of the Supreme Court (Northern Ireland) (Amendment No. 4) 2005 (S.R. (N.I.), 2005, No. 314), dated 26th June 2005, a copy of which was laid before this House on 27th June, be approved—(Tony Cunningham):—It was agreed to.

4    Civil Contingencies,—Ordered, That the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (Contingency Planning) Regulations 2005, (S.I., 2005, No. 2042), dated 22nd July 2005, be referred to a Standing Committee on Delegated Legislation.—(Tony Cunningham.)

5    Adjournment,—Resolved, That this House do now adjourn.—(Tony Cunningham.)

    And accordingly, the House, having continued to sit till twelve minutes to Seven o'clock, adjourned till to-morrow.
