1    Fishery Limits (United Kingdom) (No. 2) Bill,-Ordered, That the Fishery Limits (United Kingdom) (No. 2) Bill be read a second time on Wednesday 15th September.

2    Disposals of Public Land and Property (Design Competitions),-Ordered, That leave be given to bring in a Bill to enable the Secretary of State to require public bodies to hold design competitions when drawing up planning briefs in respect of the disposal of publicly-owned land and property: And that Roger Casale, Peter Bottomley, Mrs Anne Campbell, Sir Sydney Chapman, Mr Mike Hancock, Alan Howarth, Christine Russell, Derek Wyatt and Richard Younger-Ross do prepare and bring it in.

3    Disposals of Public Land and Property (Design Competitions) Bill,-Roger Casale accordingly presented a Bill to enable the Secretary of State to require public bodies to hold design competitions when drawing up planning briefs in respect of the disposal of publicly-owned land and property: And the same was read the first time; and ordered to be read a second time on Friday 15th October and to be printed [Bill 148].

4    Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill [Lords],-The Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill [Lords] was, according to Order, read a second time and stood committed to a Standing Committee.

5    Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill [Lords] [Money],-Her Majesty's Recommendation having been signified to the proposed Motion relating to Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill [Lords] [Money];

    A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52 (Money and ways and means resolutions in connection with bills), That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill [Lords], it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of any expenses of the Secretary of State under that Act-(Joan Ryan):-It was agreed to.

6    Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill [Lords] [Ways and Means],-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52 (Money and ways and means resolutions in connection with bills), That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill [Lords], it is expedient to authorise-

    (a) provisions enabling a levy to be imposed on bodies or persons specified, or of a description specified, in regulations for the purpose of meeting expenses incurred (or treated as incurred) by a grant-aided body within the meaning of those provisions, and

    (b) the payment of sums into the Consolidated Fund-(Joan Ryan):-It was agreed to.

7    Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill [Lords],-Ordered, That, during proceedings on the Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Bill [Lords], the Standing Committee on the Bill shall have leave to sit twice on the first day on which it shall meet.-(Joan Ryan.)

8    Health,-Ordered, That Mr Paul Burstow be discharged from the Health Committee and Mrs Patsy Calton be added.-(Mr Bob Ainsworth, on behalf of the Committee of Selection.)

9    Public Petitions,-Public Petitions from,-

    (1) Mr and Mrs Pownall, Jeff Stanley and concerned residents of Castle Point against the installation of additional equipment to an existing mobile telephone mast in Rayleigh Road, Thundersley, Essex, and

    (2) residents Dumfries and Galloway and others against any change to the structure of the Scottish regiments
