1    Message from the Lords,-A Message was brought from the Lords, as follows:

    The Lords have agreed to the Regional Assemblies (Preparations) Bill, with Amendments; to which they desire the concurrence of this House.

2    Regional Assemblies (Preparations) Bill,-Lords Amendments to the Regional Assemblies (Preparations) Bill to be considered to-morrow and to be printed [Bill 95].

3    European Parliament (Representation) Bill (Programme) (No. 2),-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Orders [28th June 2001 and 29th October 2002], That the following provisions shall apply to the European Parliament (Representation) Bill for the purpose of supplementing the Order of 10th December 2002-

    Consideration of Lords Amendments

    1. Proceedings on consideration of Lords Amendments shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion three hours after their commencement.

    Subsequent stages

    2. Any further Message from the Lords may be considered forthwith without any Question put and proceedings shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion one hour after their commencement-(Mr Gerry Sutcliffe):-It was agreed to.

4    European Parliament (Representation) Bill,-The House, according to Order, proceeded to consider the Lords Amendments to the European Parliament (Representation) Bill.

    Lords Amendment No. 1.

    A Motion was made, and the Question being put, That this House agrees with the Lords in the said Amendment;

    The House divided.

      Tellers for the Ayes, Mr John Heppell, Mr Fraser Kemp: 270.

      Tellers for the Noes, Mr Desmond Swayne, Hugh Robertson: 113.

    So the Question was agreed to.

    Lords Amendment Nos. 2 and 3 were agreed to.

    A Motion was made, and the Question being put, That this House agrees with the Lords in the said Amendment;

    Lords Amendment Nos 16 to 20 were agreed to, the Commons being willing to waive their privileges in respect of Lords Amendment No. 17.

5    National Minimum Wage (Enforcement Notices) Bill [Lords],-The House, according to Order, proceeded to consider the National Minimum Wage (Enforcement Notices) Bill [Lords], as amended in the Standing Committee.

    The Bill was read the third time, and passed, with an Amendment.

6    Adjournment (May),-A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 25 (Periodic adjournments), That this House, at its rising on Thursday 1st May, do adjourn till Tuesday 6th May-(Mr Jim Murphy):-It was agreed to.

7    Adjournment,-A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn-(Mr Jim Murphy);

    And it being Ten o'clock, the Motion for the adjournment of the House lapsed, without Question put.
