PRAYERS.

1    Criminal Justice Bill,-Mr James Cran reported from Standing Committee B, That it had agreed to the following Resolution in respect of the Criminal Justice Bill:

    That the Standing Committee recommends that the Order of the House of 4th December 2002 (Criminal Justice Bill (Programme)) be further varied as follows:

    (1) Paragraphs (4), (5) and (6) of the Order (Consideration and Third Reading) shall be omitted.

    (2) Proceedings on consideration and Third Reading shall be concluded in two days and shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion at the moment of interruption on the second of those days.

    Report, together with Resolution, to lie upon the Table.

2    National Minimum Wage (Enforcement Notices) Bill [Lords],-Miss Anne Begg reported from Standing Committee G, That it had gone through the National Minimum Wage (Enforcement Notices) Bill [Lords] and made an Amendment thereunto.

    Bill, as amended in the Standing Committee, to be considered to-morrow.

    Minutes of Proceedings of the Committee to be printed [No. 476].

3    Standards and Privileges,-Resolved, That this House-

    (i) approves the Third Report from the Committee on Standards and Privileges (House of Commons Paper No. 435); and

    (ii) accordingly suspends Mr Michael Trend, Member for Windsor, from the service of the House for two weeks.-(Mr John Heppell.)

4    Social Security,-Resolved, That the draft Social Security Benefits Up-rating Order 2003, which was laid before this House on 5th February, be approved.-(Mr Secretary Smith.)

5    Pensions,-Resolved, That the draft Guaranteed Minimum Pensions Increase Order 2003, which was laid before this House on 5th February, be approved.-(Mr Ian McCartney.)

6    Public Petitions,-Public Petitions from-

    (1) readers of the Salford Advertiser and the Prestwich Advertiser and others for restrictions on the sale and use of fireworks, and

    (2) residents of Heywood and Middleton and surrounding areas for restrictions on the use of fireworks

    were presented and read; and ordered to lie upon the Table and to be printed.

7    Adjournment,-Resolved, That this House do now adjourn.-(Mr Jim Murphy.)
