Sittings of the House take place in Westminster Hall on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. and on Thursdays from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. (in the latter case with extra time if there have been suspensions owing to divisions in the House or a Committee of the whole House).

Applications for General or Short Debates should be made in writing to the Table Office by 10 pm or the rise of the House, whichever is the earlier, on Tuesday 22 May. The Ballot will take place on Wednesday 23 May. Members may submit applications to the Table Office in person or send a signed application through the post.
